It takes a family to feed families and the entire Kataria family respects that notion. After all, we created Canda’s number one selling Indian sauce company KFI. Family recipes, fresh quality ingredients, and a passion for the amazing flavors that we knew and loved, are the hallmarks of KFI’s success. This same passion was the inspiration for us to create the ButterChick, Indian Kitchen restaurants. We love great taste, great Indian food and great value. We have taken Indian food from traditional to terrific!
Sometimes things work out better than expected
Before we launched ButterChick, we tested the idea of great tasting Indian Food - served Fast and Fresh - at one of Toronto’s busiest food festivals. The line-ups at our World Café booth at Harbourfront were incredible, inspiring and honestly a bit exhausting! We knew we had a hit!

From sultry streets of Delhi to the markets of Mumbai, ButterChick found inspiration from the famous flavors, spices and seasonings of India. And with a lot of hard work, we found a way to make complicated Indian dishes consistently delicious. Now from Brampton to Burnaby Canadians can enjoy the amazing ButterChick flavor in every store.

The ButterChick mission is to see Gurmeet from Goderich, grin with delight and Sanjiv in St Johns, smile with satisfaction when they push their plate away and pat their belly’s!
